Dental health has significant role in quality of life in all societies. Increasing of dental health is depends on high quality under graduate educations and continuing training program for dentists.
LDTC (Liberty Dental Training Center) is a professional training center which provide scientific well designed dental courses to all Canadian dentists. These courses designed to fulfil dentists needs for giving standard treatments to their patients.
LDTC defined its activities in several fields.
Firstly it is going to prepare foreign graduated new coming dentists to match themselves with Canadian standards. We designed different preparation courses to make them ready to pass equivalency exams or enter to the dental schools in Canada to continue their education. During couple of years ago we gathered a lots of experiences in it and upon these information we try our best to increase the success rate to pass the exam.
In addition we have scientific lectures and hands on courses in different fields of dentistry which graduated dentists can expand their knowledge and experiences by participating in them. These courses designed by highly experience professors and we continue to present them in highest quality.
Mostly, Non American accredited university graduated dentists have to participate in several exams which present by National Dental Examination Board of Canada (NDEB) to achieve their certificate and become eligible to work as a dentist in Canada.
The first step is sending application and required documents to NDEB, by this step the equivalency process and credential verification will begin. After qualification the candidate can register for first exam. The first exam is Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge (AFK) which evaluate scientific knowledge of participant in different fields of dentistry from basic science to applied clinical aspects. By meeting the standard of this exam the participants have two options. Firstly continue the certificate pathway by going through degree completion program. In this way participants should apply to any Canadian dental school which present this program. Some schools have separate practical exams or interview for accepting students. They consider AFK score, the result of their own entrance exam, applicant CV and interview result.
Secondly, the applicant could go through two other exams. These two consist of Assessment of Clinical Judgment (ACJ) and Assessment of Clinical Skills (ACS). In ACJ the information and experience of participant in clinical diagnosis, decision making and treatment plan will be evaluated. ACS is a practical exam to evaluate dental skills. After graduation of dental school or completion of NDEB equivalency process participant will be qualified to register for NDEB examination and OSCE dental national board of Canada. Any certified dentist should register itself in provincial college who wish to work there.
